Ferbey 4
Call it primitive, unusual or shuffleboard on ice whatever curling can be categorized as, it most definitely can be dubbed "entertaining."
World Financial Group of Canada is proud to sponsor the Ferbey 4, one of the most celebrated and dominant curling teams in the sport's history, for the 2006-2007 season. The team is comprised of Randy Ferbey, David Nedohin, Scott Pfeifer and Marcel Rocque, a group who has been curling together since 1999.
In 2005, the Ferbey 4 appeared in 14 finals throughout the year, finished second in money winnings, and reclaimed their titles as Canadian and World Champions of Curling.
Curling, the precision team sport played on ice with heavy granite stones, swept the world with fascination during the past several years, most notably since it was brought to the spotlight through the declaration of its official Olympic sport status in 1998. WFG has sponsored the Ferbey 4 since 2005.

After Struggling Throughout, Ferbey Four Eke Out a Canada Cup Win
Two of the top curling teams in the world - the Ferbey Four and Team K. Martin - met for a tense match March 18 at the Strauss Canada Cup in Kamloops, BC. After a long, arduous battle, several mistakes from each team and a tense finish, the Ferbey Four clenched the victory with a 9-8 win, which earned them the $25'000 first prize, a berth in the 2009 16-team Canadian Trials qualifier and a spot in the Continental Cup.
Brad Fritsch
WFG - Making Dreams Come True for U.S. Open Player
World Financial Group of Canada reached out to Canadian rising golf star Brad Fritsch, who agreed to wear a WFG hat and shirt when he played in the U.S. Open. Fritsch was among ten Canadian Tour members to earn a berth in the U.S. Open on June 6, and he is the only Canadian player to compete on that tour. Fritsch, from Manotick, Ont., has been named Most Improved Canadian with four top tens, including T2 at the season-ending Bay Mills Open Players' Championship. He also was named the 2000 Ottawa Amateur champion, qualified for the PGA Tour's 2001 Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic, was a co-medalist at the 2000 Canadian Amateur and participated U.S. Amateur tournament that same year. Brad is currently living just outside of Raleigh, N.C., where he practices for upcoming matches.
